We started with talk of stones that continued through the summer months. We were each working sort of… reflecting, recuperating, remembering. There was some more re re re re re ing and now here we are at the end of summer.

We started creating this show:

“I don’t think I want to be an artist” we said to each other, laughing. 
After we hung up, we continued being artists.

The next week on our call we said: 

“I’m trying this new thing, I’m just trying. I don’t know if it is a work, but I like it”.
After we hung up we continued to work.

Marta’s Stone

found straddling the corner of a building
a remnant from roads carrying carts around corners and rubbing against the buildings 
on their way
a stone for easing the edge 

Sophia’s Stone

a surface painted
sort of a pit
but with a stoic presence 
balanced on a small table
waiting above ground
longing like usual
