On Thursday, Oct 2nd, the exhibition 'Tidal bore' opens its doors at De Bouwput, Amsterdam. Jung Yeon Kim will be presenting what she has been blending, pushing and gliding through the viscosity of colored oil ink, learning the language of printmaking for the last few months (—years). 
For her, the results of the etching printing process are often utterly unpredictable, tricking with countless variations. They bear resemblances just as how the stream of timed interventions in life comes around in such an absurdly casual manner. In the midst of these whimsical prints, she found a few odd moments of equilibrium, a spark that sparks heavily and briefly. The works from those moments are gathered in this exhibition.
