We are thrilled to be showing together once again. Luka, Sacha, Caro, and Ursula first met last year during an art residency in Portugal, where a deep friendship naturally evolved into a collaborative artistic bond. During their residency, they successfully exhibited together twice in Lisbon. This year, they are reunited to present a new group exhibition opening on the 11th of August at De Bouwput in Amsterdam. Bringing together highly eclectic practices, the exhibition features Caro’s mixed-media and interactive installations, Sacha’s intuitive paintings (both from the Netherlands), Luka’s dynamic performances (from Italy), and Ursula’s vibrant paintings and installations (from Peru). Spanning different mediums and perspectives, their works find common ground in the space, creating a beautiful and unexpected visual conversation.

Sacha van Eerten

Sacha van Eerten is a Dutch visual artist whose practice transitioned from architecture to oil painting. Rooted in her architectural background, her painting practice serves as a form of intuitive research where she explores our relationship to images and the physical or domestic spaces we inhabit. Rather than working toward a fixed, predetermined idea, Sacha begins with everyday observations, memories, or questions, using the canvas to discover where they lead. Blending these personal starting points with art historical references, she creates evocative, open-ended imagery that invites viewers to pause, look closer, and question what they see.

Caro

Caro is a Dutch visual artist and musician working primarily with sound, textiles, and sculpture. Integrating electronic textile interfaces with digital coding, Caro's practice explores the relationships between humans, materials, and technology through immersive, spatial installations. By choreographing noise and combining audio with physical textiles, metal, and digital coding, Caro creates tactile environments that invite intimate, physical engagement. Operating at the intersection of living systems, craft, and technology, Caro's research centers on the translation between analogue and digital systems, exploring how uncertainty can generate new, unexpected patterns of connection.

Luka

Luka Moncaleano is an Italian-Colombian artist who views performance as a colliding space for diverse disciplines. Through artifacts, sound, smell, and movement, he builds installations that act as architectures of everyday fossils—weaving narratives that exist between the sayable and the unsayable. His research focuses on the philosophical value of performance, aiming to generate ephemeral "frontier spaces" that challenge the limits of language. With a degree in art history and philosophy from the University of Parma, Luka’s work is deeply informed by perception and socio-political dynamics. To develop his transdisciplinary approach, he spent years training across various cultural landscapes, including Italy, Albania, Brazil, Portugal, India, and Poland. He is an alumnus of the Maumaus Independent Study Programme in Lisbon and the Proxima Res School of Performing Arts in Milan.

Ursula Mur

Ursula Mur is a Peruvian multidisciplinary artist born in Lima and currently based in Paris as an artist-in-residence at 59 Rivoli. While primarily a painter with fifteen years of experience, her contemporary practice has expanded to include ceramics, printmaking, installation, and performance art as a way to explore how physical objects can stretch the boundaries of the canvas. Rooted in her heritage, Ursula's work celebrates the rich culture, traditions, and shared bonds of Peru and Latin America, while also reflecting on its complex social and political realities. Believing that art is a universal language, she seeks to build conceptual bridges and open spaces for dialogue that connect diverse communities through shared human experiences.
