It Keeps Repeating

It Keeps Repeating examines how identity is formed within systems that organize visibility, behavior, and belonging. Repetition operates as a structural condition: what appears as personal choice is already shaped by inherited social, political, religious, and digital frameworks.

Drawing from Balkan contexts in which existence is often tolerated only if it remains between four walls, the project reflects on privacy as a conditional space. Permission and restriction coexist. Intimacy does not suspend regulation. 

Through installation and performance, the body becomes the site where these structures meet, carrying their tensions through gesture, material, and space. Religion, institutional authority, and sexual culture are not treated as separate spheres, but as overlapping systems that position and interpret the body before it can position itself.
