Take the Cake

While on a 3 month residency at AGA LAB in Amsterdam, NL, I worked on developing the latest TAKE THE CAKE performance; Appeltaart. Based on the premise that Appeltaart is the national cake of the Netherlands, I set out to interview as many people as I could within the time frame I had. I collected 38 Appeltaart recipes and drawings of Apples based on those interviews. The Baking Lecture Performance took place at De Bouwput and TAART TALK was presented for the first time during the performance. TAART TALK is an artist edition of 100, printed on a Risograph and is 76 pages in length. The book also comes with a smaller compendium booklet based on a selection of the interviews I conducted during that time.
